Location & Parking
6 Hunter House sits on Goodramgate, 5 minutes from York Minster and 2 minutes from the Shambles. The property includes a secure, gated car park directly behind the building, a rare asset in central York. Guests park once and walk to all attractions, including York Railway Station 1.2 km away and Cliffords Tower.
Accommodation
The two-bedroom apartment sleeps four adults across a double bedroom and a twin room, with two bathrooms (one en-suite). Parquet floors, a dining area, and a comfortable sofa furnish the living space. A lift provides access from the front entrance, and the bedrooms are separate from the living area, offering quiet at night.
Amenities & Comfort
The full kitchen includes a refrigerator, microwave, dishwasher, and oven, plus a washing machine for longer stays. Board games, puzzles, and a flat-screen TV are available, and the apartment has non-smoking throughout with smoke alarms. Heating is individually controlled, and the property provides free WiFi and bicycle parking.
Guest Feedback
Return visitors rate the apartment 9 out of 10, citing the location and free parking as top reasons. Reviewers note the apartment is very quiet even though the front door opens straight onto Goodramgate. The en-suite shower and spacious layout are repeatedly praised, and the secure parking is called 'a massive plus point' in the city centre.
Nearby Attractions
York Minster is a 5-minute walk, and the Shambles market is 2 minutes from the front door. The National Railway Museum is within 1.5 km, and York Barbican is a 10-minute walk. Leeds Bradford International Airport is 48 km away by road.
